Prediction market contracts are CFTC-regulated derivatives that resolve to $1 (YES) or $0 (NO). Prices equal the market's probability estimate, with no bookmaker margin. Sports betting is regulated state-by-state and uses bookmaker odds with a built-in vig.
Sports outcomes, US and international politics, Fed rate decisions, CPI and macro data, crypto price levels, weather, climate events, and entertainment. Kalshi has the broadest catalog; Polymarket leads on politics; Robinhood focuses on macro and headlines.
